- You must be registered for a game if you want to play in the game. If you read about an icetime on PrideOnIce.com and show up to the game without registering you will not be allowed to play in the game, regardless of skill level.
- The number of skaters allowed at a POI game is 20. If there are 20 skaters already registered for given icetime, you may still sign up and get put on a waiting list. If another skater drops from the icetime, and you move off of the waiting list onto the regular roster. If you are still on the waiting list at game time, you will not be allowed to play in the game.
- If you sign up for a POI game and get put on the waiting list it is your duty to read POI frequently in the days leading up to the game to see if you get moved from the waiting list to the regular roster. If you get moved from the waiting list to the regular roster and don't show up for the game, you will still be responsible for paying your share of the icetime fee.
- If you are registered for a POI game and bring a friend who is not on the regular roster for the game, your friend will not be allowed to play in the game.
- If you have registered to play in a POI game and discover you cannot make it to the game, you must un-register for the game at least 8 hours prior to the start of the game. If you cannot make it to a game and cannot un-register in time, you must still pay for your share of the icetime or find a suitable replacement for your roster spot.
- You must be a "regular" POI member in order to skate in the POI games. The term "regular" is a bit vague, but can be summarized as follows: someone who frequently posts on the POI message board and that most of the other regulars on POI know via the message board. The POI member who organizes the icetime reserves the right to determine who is and who is not a regular POI member. If you register with POI, have 0-20 posts, and have only been a member for a month, you are probably not a regular. This rule does not exist to exclude people from skating in POI games. It exists so that we can make sure we know who we are skating with in POI games, and to make sure all of the skaters will abide by the unwritten rules of casual hockey and will fit in with the rest of the group.
- Giving another POI user your user id and password so that they can log into POI and register you for a hockey game is NOT permitted.
